Luxembourg, Brussels and Amsterdam

November 8-18, 2018

Hello there –

First off this trip was booked through tripmasters.com.   This is my mom and I’s second overseas trip booking through them and I would highly recommend trying it out.  It is priced very well for what is included, such as airfare, hotels and transportation between places.   This was a nine day Europe trip traveling through Luxembourg, Brussels and Amsterdam.  On our own in Brussels we took a full day to venture out to Brugge and Ghent which only took an hour by train to get to Brugge and 30 minute train ride to Ghent, well worth it.

Day 1 – Luxembourg

We got into town around 1400 on 9 November.  Transpiration from the airport to Luxembourg City was simple.   Just hop on bus 16 right outside of the airport.  This will take you downtown and only will cost you two euros.  The hotel we stayed at was Grand Hotel Cravat, which was located perfectly for our needs.  We checked in freshened up and then headed to look around and grab some food.

Day 2 – Luxembourg

So, what I left out was I have family in Luxembourg, so we spent most of our time here with them, but we were able to explore a little as well as eat some great food!  They took us to the Vianden Castle, but first of course food at Beim Hunn in the town at the bottom of the castle.  After that we made a stop at General Pattons monument.

Day 3 – Luxembourg

What better way to spend Veterans Day than at the American memorial in Luxembourg.
